BAM19138- Multi-Layer Metal Core PCB

Just like FR4 PCB, we can also make aluminum boards with more than 2 layers of traces and we name it "Multi-layer Aluminum PCB". The structure is similar to multi-layer FR4, but much more complicated. The maximum layers of aluminum PCB we can make is up to 10 layers and our maximum copper thickness of aluminum PCB up to 10OZ.

Compared with normal FR4, the multi-layer aluminum PCB requires higher technology and much more experience on lamination of more than two layers and the cost is much higher than 2 layers aluminum PCB or double sided aluminum PCB.

Today we would like to introduce one of our multi-layer aluminum PCB to you. This is a single-sided and four-layer aluminum PCB. The biggest feature of this aluminum PCB is that the aluminum-based part of the 2 vias with the diameter of 2.9mm in the middle is filled with resin(see the stackup for more easy reference), so that the PTH can go through the aluminum core but will be isolated from the aluminum core.
