PCB categories is a very interesting topic. Single layer PCB, double side PCB, and so on you may see lots PCB name, but do you know how many categories of PCB ?For categories of PCB, first we have to assume criterion, for example, Material, layers, Technology and so on. Usually we use material to distinguish PCB, so we can find MCPCB(metal core PCB), ceramic pcb, RF PCB,Flexible PCB and so on.Now we list some categories of PCB for your information.

BTW, sometimes you may need other PCB categories, for example, 0.8 mm thickness PCB, 1.0 mm thickness PCB or 3.2 mm thickness PCB, which are thickness target, but you may need difference color of the silkscreen or soldermask, some of them are black PCB (black silkscreen PCB or back soldermask PCB), white PCB and so on. Have to show that we usually manufacture PCB as 1.6 mm, green soldermask and white legend.
